What is 100 Women Who Care Fort Macleod?

100 Women Who Care Fort Macleod & Area is a community-giving circle of local women facilitating mass donations to charities in the Fort Macleod area. Members commit to donating $100 per quarter, and collectively, we support local organizations making a significant impact in our community.

I would like to apply for a grant from 100 Women Who Care Fort Macleod.

We do not provide grants, loans, or other types of funding. Instead, we facilitate mass donations on behalf of our members to the charities and non-profits.

How does a 100 Women Who Care Fort Macleod meeting work?

We are a membership-based giving circle. Our members have the opportunity to vote for a charity or registered non-profit every quarter. The organization with the most votes receives the pooled donations from that quarter.

Can charitable organizations be funding recipients more than once?

Once a charitable organization has received a donation, they are not eligible for donation for the duration of 3 years.

How do I become an Active Member?

You can become an Active Member by filling out our membership form on our website. Once registered, you will receive information about upcoming virtual meetings and how to participate in the voting process.

Are all meetings in person?

Our meetings will be held virtually for the first year and for accessibility, voting is done virtually over a 10 day period. This allows all members to participate in the voting process. Members will receive a voting link and further details about the eligible charities or non-profits.

When do we vote for the non-profit or charity?

Members will have the opportunity to vote each quarter for the charities or non-profits. A voting period of 10 days will allow members to view the submissions and make their vote online. The first voting period will be August 20th - August 30th, 2025.

Do I have to live in the the Town of FM or MD of Willow Creek to be a member?

There are no restrictions on region or radius of members with the 100 Women Who Care Fort Macleod & Area Chapter.

How can a non-profit or charity apply?

Charities or Non-Profit groups can apply during the 1st-15th of each quarter. Applications will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis and a total of 6 groups will be selected for voting. The first application period opens August 1st, 2025 at 10:00 AM MST online.

What happens if there is a TIE at the time of voting for groups?

Ties will be decided by randomly selecting one of the tied organizations by draw.

Who is eligible to apply for the 100 Women Who Care Money?

You must be a registered charity or non-profit operating within the Town of Fort Macleod or the MD of Willow Creek. This area was chosen due to the strong, ongoing partnerships between the Town, the MD, and local organizations serving the public.
